About the artist

ART.DIGITAL.INTERIOR

My artistic abilities were given to me by my mother, so that I started drawing and painting as a young girl. The first motifs are characterised by animals and nature, but also portraits can be found among them. Even the earliest works are characterised by my stylish realisation. In my artistic development I was influenced by various art styles. Picasso is one of my greatest role models.
I draw inspiration from the photos on Instagram - my passion is to artistically reinterpret the existing photographs. To do this, I translate aesthetic and expressive photos into painterly portraits. Through my creative streak and passion for painting portraits of women, I have also developed a penchant for interior design. I am particularly inspired by colours, shapes and materials to design rooms harmoniously and aesthetically.

on pure creativity.

I work on larger formats. My canvases are often between 1.5 metres and 2 metres and larger.

I try to incorporate contrasts in my work by making the colourful accents dramatic and energetic.

I have started painting portraits of Instagram icons, models and actors, always focusing on looking for vibrant images.

However, I don't just use the image as a template, but add my own touch.

This way I create a unique look that brings the portraits to life.

Painting for me is rediscovering the image.

As an artist with a creative background, I have a tendency to work in a very precise style. As an artist, I enjoyed drawing portraits, but my work lacked energy.

In the summer of 2012, I decided to turn my passion for portraits into painting. I swapped pencil for brushes and paint. I forced myself to stop doing detailed pencil drawings and instead focused on simple and bold brushstrokes.

I reduced the number of brush strokes and focused on getting the expression onto the canvas.

I am constantly challenging myself in my art and although I am comfortable with my style, I am always trying new things. New ways and techniques continue to develop my art.

>> A well-designed space can not only improve people's well-being and productivity, but also increase the value of a property. <<

I studied architecture and interior design in Düsseldorf. During my studies I discovered my passion for interior design and started to study it intensively. I find that designing interiors is just as creative and challenging as painting on canvases.

It's about designing spaces functionally, aesthetically and ergonomically to meet the needs of the occupants. People's wishes and needs have to be understood and implemented. It's not just about the aesthetics, but also about the functionality and sustainability of the space.
